Flower Shows

The Garden Club of America (The GCA) Flower Show Committee promotes flower shows throughout the U.S. for member clubs, provides guidance and encouragement to those planning and presenting GCA flower shows, establishes and maintains standards of excellence in all GCA flower shows to ensure adherence to The GCA requirements and standards. 

Founders Garden Club members submit entries to the GCA flower shows and host in-house flower shows. Members submit entries in the following categories:

        Floral Design

        Horticulture

        Photography

        Botanical Arts



        Garden History & Design

        Founders members research and document gardens for submission to the Smithsonian Institution’s Archives of American Gardens (AAG). This collection, with roots tracing back to 1916, maintains a collection of more than 60,000 images from Colonial times to today, documenting cultivated gardens of design and historical significance throughout the United States.
